Three Phase charging is always recommended when you have an existing Three Phase supply at your property. Balancing electrical loads across all three phases allows for safe and faster charging. To check if your property is Single or Three Phase, first check your Switchboard Main-Switch to see if it is a 1 Pole or 3 Pole device. Secondly, Network Connection Stats can be gathered by contacting your Energy Retailer. If you are still unsure, contact Tronic to organise an onsite EV assessment, where a technician can confirm a Single Phase or Three Phase connection.
Yes, Three Phase supplies are common across rural and commercial properties due to the high consumption demand of machinery and equipment. Similarly, large homes with multiple dwellings and large draw appliances may require an increased supply capacity. Although this is a costly process, upgrading to Three Phase is possible.
